The Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 have used the same bolt pattern for more than twenty years, so there are a lot of wheels to choose from. The bolt pattern is only part of the fit, though.
Bolt pattern and centre bore
| Truck | Years | Bolt pattern |
|---|---|---|
| Chevy Silverado 1500 | 2000 to 2026 | 6x139.7 |
| GMC Sierra 1500 | 2000 to 2026 | 6x139.7 |
6x139.7 is also written 6x5.5". The centre bore is 78.1 mm, and the factory wheels use a conical lug seat.
Factory wheel and tire sizes
- Factory wheel sizes: 17x7.5, 17x8, 18x8.5, 20x8.5, 20x9 and 22x9
- Factory offset: +24 to +40 mm
- Common factory tire sizes: 265/70R17, 265/65R18, 275/55R20, 275/60R20 and 275/50R22
Same bolt pattern, different truck
Other trucks also use 6x139.7, but the centre bore is different on each:
- Silverado and Sierra 1500: 78.1 mm
- Ram 1500, 2019 and newer: 77.8 mm
- Toyota Tacoma up to 2023: 106.1 mm
- Toyota Tundra 2022 and newer, and Tacoma 2024 and newer: 95.1 mm
That is why we check the centre bore, offset and lug seat along with the bolt pattern.
Heavy-duty trucks are different
The Silverado and Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD have eight lug nuts and use different bolt patterns. See our 8-lug and dually bolt pattern guide.
